Most of my music has been made in a bedroom and was self-produced
I play and record my violin, piano, and ukulele
I also am a gigging musician - I play violin for weddings and many other occasions. I have also recorded violin for other artists and their music before!
WHO IS JOSH?
My first release ever, Don't Call was my first time incorporating my own violin recordings, piano, singing, and rapping into one piece that was a cathartic release of intense emotions. I had a lot of fun with this one, just letting the project run its course without having a plan. It started off as a song, and quickly turned into a rap where I discussed heavy feelings through poetry - and I feel truly proud to release something that is so authentically me through a challenging time in my life. A Good Life, is about living life from a place of love rather than a place of fear. It's about letting loose a little when you feel tension, remembering to take life lightly and that it just isn't that serious. We're all living one great big dream and it's totally up to us how we want our own dream to look. The stars will call our name as their final act of love, so might as well love ourselves relentlessly and accept who we are. We're all ending up in the same place. Released 8.8.25
Jade for me was an experimental first take on house music for me. The lyrics were me letting loose to talk about things that I usually wouldn't discuss, with moments that allude to imagery like burning cigarettes on my skin. Even though it's fictional, it's an ode to my belief that taking life too seriously is detrimental. The Jade in the song refers to the Jade necklace that I wear often - for me, a symbol of being protected against taking life too seriously.

The Chase was my first exploration into drum and bass (DnB). It's a very lively and upbeat song that is a romantic address to my lovely partner, and also takes inspiration from 'The Chase' of the finer things in life - like the pursuit of business and material items. It is not about one cut and clear message. Instead, I left it up to interpretation. I'm really fond of EDM, and I love exploring its subgenres. Released 10.10.25
